1996 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Review
With the rapid pace of change, it’s hard to imagine a family-run company that’s been producing the same world famous product since 1829. Meet the six generations of the Bollinger family and their 1996 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut. This rich and balanced wine reflects the traditional methods, including individual vintification of each marc and cru, barrel fermentation (it is the last Champagne house to employ a full-time cooper) and extra aging on the lees prior to disgorgement. It is these stringe... FULL REVIEW

1995 Salon Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Brut Review
The French know a lot about making fine champagne, but some know more than others. So, if you’re trusting your celebration to French champagne, it’s a smart choice to go with someone who’s been at it for a while. Take, for example, the discerning makers of the 1995 Salon Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Brut. This truly great sparkling wine was produced from Chardonnay grapes from the same vineyards and in the same proportions determined by the House of Salon’s founder, Aimé Salon, early in the 2... They sought for their wines to be delicate yet have great individuality and sty... FULL REVIEW

Another great producer is Frank Family Vineyards. I'd love to see your review!

We all know that the right wines get better with age and also more expensive, the same holds true for Champagne. In 1916 over 200 bottles of1907 Heidsieck Champagne were in route for delivery to the Russian Imperial Family, unfortunately the ship sank off the coast of Finland and the wine has been perfectly preserved at the bottom of the ocean. The wine was recently salvaged and is now available for $275,000 a bottle at the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow, making it not necessarily the best, but definitely the most expensive champagne in the world.
