Germany is another one of the world's areas where a decent pair of hiking boots has always been must have. Little wonder then German boot maker Lowa makes our "Best Of" list. Bean stood for - and now we know. The company was founded by Leon Leonwood, hence the "L.L" If Leon were still with us today, we think he'd be quite proud to have his name associated with this product.
