Being up the river without a paddle is no fun. And neither is being up the river or out on big water with a less than stellar outboard motor. Our research led us to three "Best Of" outboards that are as efficient as they are fast, as reliable as they are quiet. All of our reviews are 4 Stroke engines (versus 2), as they’ll run quieter and cleaner (greener) without the historical sacrifices in power or torque. Boating should be all about enjoying yourself, with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, not being overwhelmed by engine noise or worrying about performance.
