Outboard Research and Review
Being up the river without a paddle is no fun. And neither is being up the river or out on big water with a less than stellar outboard motor. Our research led us to three "Best Of" outboards that are as efficient as they are fast, as reliable as they are quiet. All of our reviews are 4 Stroke engines (versus 2), as they’ll run quieter and cleaner (greener) without the historical sacrifices in power or torque. Boating should be all about enjoying yourself, with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, not being overwhelmed by engine noise or worrying about performance.

The "Best Of" pick from the world's largest manufacturer of engines: Honda. With its
Marine BF 150 hp comes unmatched expertise and a terrific warranty, one of the best we could find. Counter rotating balancers reduce engine vibration for optimum performance and a smooth, quiet ride. The offset crank design places the weight of this four stroke motor on the transom. This gives you increased hull performance and even fewer vibrations for a more enjoyable spin around the lake or up and down the river. N...
