Cole & Son
Since 1873, Cole & Son has been make fine-quality wall coverings in its North London facility, using many of the same techniques today that were used in the past. Not just a luxury wall coverings company, Cole and Son is home to the world's largest archive of the hard-carved wooden print blocks, some of which were used by Arts and Crafts movement founder William Morris and English illustrator and artist Walter Crane. Apprentices study for years to master the techniques involved using these block prints used in Cole & Son's exclusive paper lines. The collections range from the whimsical (insects and butterflies) to the classic (damask and fleur de lis) and all points in between. This "Best Of" covers the walls in Buckingham Palace and the White House and with custom-colored prints and stripes available, the award-winning designs of Cole & Son can grace your walls, too.
