Honda GL1800 Gold Wing
For most people, a Honda is a solid and highly reliable car. But for those of us who love to travel on two wheels, Honda means the legendary Gold Wing touring motorcycle. Boasting more awards than any other touring bike, the Gold Wing is a dream to ride with a host of advanced features that enhance performance and comfort. The 2008 version of the GL1800 Gold Wing is the best ever, sporting a huge powerplant (1832 cc), smooth acceleration and excellent handling. New for 2008 is an outrageous premium audio package with six speakers and 80 watts per channel that will have your rockin’ while you’re rolling down the highway. Smart accessories like heated grips, GPS and backrests help the Gold Wing deliver an unparalleled combination of class-leading features. This “Best Of” is available in five colors and offers lots of chrome options that add pizzazz to an already stylish bike. Throw in Honda’s 3-year transferable warranty with unlimited mileage and you’ve got a great touring motorcycle that’s also a good deal.

I was raised as a kid at our local Honda shop and always had a Honda. After 25 years I was married and she got rid of all my toys. Now that my kids are all grown up, and that wife is long gone, it's time to pickup right where I left off, except I'll be enyoying 22 years of advance technology added to what I know is and always has been the most reliable motorcycle ever built! Can't wait to purchase my 2008 Goldwing next spring. It will be the first touring bike I've ever owned, and the last bike I'll ever need!
I wanna ride I wanna ride I wanna ride!

My favorite time one of those long joy rides is night time on the wide open lanes of the highway. Stars above me, open air around me, and a straight shot to anywhere I want to go. Nothing can ruin those nights for me (besides those irritating new super bright headlights!!) Talking about it makes me want to just go out right now!

Agreed, but you know what I found to make those nighttime joy rides better? Auto-dimming rear view mirrors! It's amazing how they work. I got myself a pair from AphlaMirrordirect.com (mine are blue!) No bright lights in your eyes ever. I just wish I dodn't live in Cleveland where you gotta put the bike away in the winter.
