Perfect Pencil
Well, we suppose if you want people to take notice of your product and believe it to be unrivaled, name it Perfect. It's either confident or cocky, depending on your point of view, we suppose. That said, if this "Best Of" pick isn't perfect, it's nearly so. This company has been creating writing instruments since 1761, so they've had some time to practice making the perfect pencil. The beauty of Perfect Pencil is that you never have to worry about a dull point. How so? There's a sharpener integrated into the extender, which both protects the sharpener and makes it safe to keep in your pocket. A replaceable eraser hides under the cap so when you're ideas aren't quite right the first time, you can make them so the second time. Various finishing options are available, including our favorite: black-dyed California cedar.
