Using weaving traditions dating back to the 16th Century, Charvet fabric is woven to produce a unique shine and movement that is enhanced by the addition of a hidden color woven into the fabric. All of their ties are assembled by hand, using a minimum of three pieces of fabric, cut at an exact 45 degree angle across the weave and then hand stitched to ensure the fabric will drape in the proper manner. Known also for their shirts (with over 400 different shades of white fabric ) Charvet has been the choice clothier of such notables as John F. Kennedy, Charles DeGaulle and the Duke of Windsor.
