Achilles’ heavy duty inflatables are certified by the National Marine Association as adhering to federal regulations and rigid industry standards established by the U.S. Coast Guard. The Achilles SU-18 is an 18’ marvel that can accommodate up to 11 people and an impressive payload of over 4,600 lbs. Designed for commercial work yet still a comfortable pleasure craft, this “Best Of” is made of four-layered fabric reinforced with DuPont Hypalon®. Achilles manufactures its own Hypalon fabric and hand-glues the materials for the ultimate in resisting damage from the elements, oil, gasoline or abrasions. Seams are overlapped a full inch and reinforced with seam tape both inside and out, and the flexible, cone-shaped baffle design equalizes air pressure between individual airtight chambers.
