Bobby Jones Players Series
There are just some clubs you dread pulling out of your bag because, like a box of chocolates, you just never know what you’re going to get with them. For many amateurs and pros alike, those confidence-crushing clubs are the long irons, with their flat, unforgiving face and virtually non-existent sweet spot. Now, with the introduction of advanced, “Best Of” hybrid clubs like the Bobby Jones Players Series, you can banish your long irons to the basement forever. Much easier to hit consistently well from more positions on the course than long irons or even fairway woods, the Players Series hybrids feature a well-contoured sole with the heel and toe areas swept away. Slightly shorter in length than its actual iron replacement, the Players Series club utilizes a wide-bodied, triangle of stability club face and a low and deep center of gravity to enhance stability and impact and improve playability from difficult lies all over the course.
From independent research, we selected the Bobby Jones Players Series as a 3LUXE "Best Of". To see our other two Hybrid Wood selections visit our Hybrid Wood Overview.

FEATURES
- The triangular head is designed to improve stability at impact, and the super-thin maraging-steel crown saves weight that is redistributed to the sole. The wide-sole design improves playability from a variety of conditions.
- Using the same technology as the fairway metals, Bobby Jones hybrids are designed to replace the hard-to-hit long irons. Rather than designing hybrids that look like irons, Jesse Ortiz’ philosophy takes advantage of the fairway metal’s low and deep center of gravity, its wide bodied triangle-of-stability (TOS), and its versatile contoured sole.
