Goyard Palace
Go beyond the oft-copied hype of the ubiquitous Louis Vuitton and explore Goyard, another French luxury luggage maker, which has been located in the same Saint Honore shop in Paris since 1853 (yes, that’s one year earlier than Louis Vuitton can boast). The Palace Suitcase has Goyard’s signature hand-painted chevron jacquard, which is made from a blend of cotton, hemp and linen and can be special-ordered in a choice of ten different colors. These understated and elegant cases have accompanied (and Goyard suitcases have no wheels, thus elevating their stature to only those who can afford a personal valet) the likes of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Pablo Picasso, John D. Rockefeller, Madonna, Michelin three-star chef Alain Ducasse and fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. Made of lightweight poplar and birch, with nickel hardware and leather trim, this “Best Of” is hand-constructed and – instead of sporting someone else’s monogram – can be personalized with your family crest or initials.
From independent research, we selected the Goyard Palace as a 3LUXE "Best Of". To see our other two Hardside Luggage selections visit our Hardside Luggage Overview.
