Each line weight has specific tapers to assist with line control, distance and presentation. Nothing can frustrate a day of fly fishing quite like a line that acts like a spoiled child and doesn't obey. Special resins, polymers and lubricants (something we imagine 3M knows as well as anyone) help create one of the most friction-free fly lines available, making it easy to cast and control. It also has ultraviolet inhibitors, in essence, sunscreen for your line, giving it extra-durability. You, however, will still need your own bottle of sunscreen.
