The rear taper is longer than usual to allow for roll casting when your back is against a wall of rock or brush. Their line also offers a special flotation tip that makes for an easy change of leaders. Rio claims that tests prove that their tip slides through rod guides better than the customary nail knot. There's one great way to verify that claim: wet a line!
