Medusa by Versace
It’s one of those seated dinners, and as you take your place, you notice—does anyone else?—the wonderful Medusa head emblazoned on your dinner fork. How luxe, this unmistakable symbol of Versace, the famed international fashion house. Your 3LUXE team likes this “Best Of” silverplate because it is just a little showy, which can be a fun thing. This pattern evokes a well-evolved European taste, and it’s a smashing way to dress up your table far beyond the expected. We like the smooth, classic forms of the pieces, especially the round sweep of the edges and the arc of the stems. The implements are slightly on the large side (which is very European), which is so much nicer if your hands are large. The knives are weighty, but not overly so. In Greek mythology, Medusa originally was a beautiful nymph, and it’s amazing how much drama she can bring to a 21st-century dinner party.
From thorough independent research, we selected the Medusa by Versace as a 3LUXE "Best Of", to see our other two Flatware selections visit our Flatware Overview.
