Rat-L-Trap
For a fish to strike your lure, he first needs to know it's there. And there's no missing a lure that rattles. The Rat-L-Trap features small balls inside the lure's casing, which vibrate as you retrieve the lure, causing quite a racket under the water. This innovative, 'Best Of" lure was created by Bill Lewis an outstanding high school football player. His Division 1 scholarships had to be put aside when the duty of World War II called. Perhaps it was his time as B-24 Bomber pilot that inspired Lewis to create such a noisy lure that, well, kills the fish. Now you can win your battle with the fish with the Rat-L-Trap. It will have you making noise of your own: the spontaneous laughter of a fish well caught.
From independent research, we selected the Rat-L-Trap as a 3LUXE "Best Of". To see our other two Lure selections visit our Lure Overview.

Last week I had a great time fishing remote lakes around Red Lake Ontario for Walleye. We had an awesome time and the fish were biting. When we hit our limit on walleye, I decide to try my luck with Bass and switched over to the Rat-L-Trap. Sure enough, as soon it was on I landed a pair of nice bass. I can’t wait until next year!

A true utility player. I have spent a good portion of my life fishing in and around the Great Lakes, and I can say, without a doubt, the Rat-L-Trap is the most versatile lure in my tackle box. I have caught trout, lake trout, walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, perch, bluegill, and even catfish.
