Champion Wine Opener
More than 100 years ago, removing the cork from a bottle of wine presented just as big of a challenge as it can today. To solve the problem, the Champion Corkscrew was introduced in 1897. With it anchored to the bar, trouble opening bottles for 19th century saloon bartenders became a thing of the past. Fortunately, Rogar brought back this classy classic with the introduction of the Champion Wine Opener, a replica of the original Champion Corkscrew. When you use today’s Champion, you can uncork and recork a wine bottle in less than one second (we don’t know that you can find anything faster!). If you don’t have anything to clamp this corkscrew to, Rogar’s offers a specially designed stand to help show the Champion off (which you’ll want to do because this historical and functional corkscrew is beautiful too). Although the antique pewter plated Champion Wine Opener doesn’t look like today’s high-end corkscrews (which is one of the reasons we like it), it does open a bottle just as easily.
After thorough independent research, we selected the Champion Wine Opener as a 3LUXE "Best Of", to see our other two Corkscrew selections visit our Corkscrew Overview.
