Peacock Alley Manhattan Bath Towel
A former stockbroker in New York City, Peacock Alley founder Mary Ella Gabler is regarded by many as the first to establish the luxury linen industry in the United States. Mary Ella believed that women sought to decorate their bed and bathrooms in the same luxurious colors and prints that they dressed themselves in and over a quarter of a century later, her classic patterns and color palettes are still perennial favorites. The Manhattan Bath Towel is a 40 by 70 inch piece of luxury. Weighing in at 600 grams, this “Best Of” is made of 100% of long-staple Egyptian cotton and makes a perfect ending to a long, relaxing soak in your tub. This thick, cotton beauty is available in bold and subtle hues sure to accent any toilette’s décor (celery, chocolate, coffee, eucalyptus, glacier, linen, moss, sable, saffron, spice, straw, white), making you one proud peacock, wrapped in luxury.

I had a terrible experience with these towels. Apparently they are not meant to be actually used. When I washed them in a detergent especially meant for luxury towels they became discolored in spots. Regardless of what I washed them in, they became discolored. The company said these towels interact badly with many products used in shower/baths. What kind of a luxury towels are these??
